Join me for the opening reception for Raw Form at Atithi Gallery on Saturday, March 22nd from 6pm - 9pm.
From March 22nd through April 5th work from my new series, Language of the Land, will be on display alongside two other local artists, Mary Mastren-Williams and Samantha Cortese. This body of work uses color I collected and created from plants situated in the riparian zones along the Pittsburgh rivers, and is inspired by the questions, “How might an imagined language created with colors from plants in marginal places deepen our relationship with the land? What can we learn from the features that make these plants resilient and thrive in spaces characterized by constant change? What messages does the land have for you?”
Atithi Gallery is located in Sharpsburg at 1020 North Canal Street, 15215.
They are open Thursday through Saturday 11am – 4pm.
If you are interested in a private appointment during or outside gallery hours, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
